And a side note about this. I said I don't believe in the zodiac, which is a fairly recent realization I've come to, because it just seems stupid. Why should what time of the year you are born in have anything to do with your personality? How can a group of people whose birthdays are close together be 'ruled' by the natural orbits of planets passing in front of and behind eachother? Give me logical answers and proof of people changing or being affected in those two questions and I'll do some astrology.

So I ordered Breakaway in all of his adorableness. I called Target before I got him online because I figured it would be easier and cheaper to go down there and buy him myself, and the first lady who talked to me was like "Oh, yeah, I think we have about 15 of him." I was like, holy shit, I thought he was hard to find. So she transfers me to the toy department and they guy there is like, "Well, she said 15 because we have 15 deluxe class figures. We only have Wheelie and Chromia."

I AM SICK OF WHEELIE. HE IS EVERYWHERE.

The guy was really nice though and he was like "I collect Transformers too, go to Toys-R-Us because they might have him." But of course, they didn't.

And I end up buying him from Target.com. It wasn't expensive at all, but I paid for 3-5 day shipping and it said they would take 15 days to deliver him. I checked again today and it said that they were likely to deliver him on October 9, 2005.

Breakaway, you have ripped a hole in space and time. Before you were even a figment of a designer's imagination, before there was even an '07 movie, right around the time that IDW started doing the TF comics, you will ship. I will be around 13 years old and wondering why there is a little brown F-35 in the mailbox.

And to add onto that, I have the worst artist's block ever. I have to finish a picture for Bri, and I refuse to give up on this really good sketch I have of General Grievous. I also still need to paint all of those 9 portraits (I know what poses they will be in, but I've only like half-sketched 5 and 6.) and also Perceptor. I have a pose I want to paint Snake Eyes in, too.

I can't write either. I tried to write about Sunstorm but his dialogue is ridiculously hard to do.

No, seriously. It's been at least three years since I really cried cried.

But for some reason, today, when I watched this, I just cried a little bit.

None of those sad stories I've read or the pictures of stray dogs curled up together can get me teary-eyed, I could really give two shits about animal abuse so all those pictures of the dead cats bore me the death, news articles about sick kids make me feel sympathy for them, but for some reason a singing computer makes me cry.

SHIT FUCK DO WANT

Well shitfuck. Guess what just ame out in Japan. Yeah, the Drossel Gashapon. Not only does she look fucking gorgeous, ALOOK AT DEM WHEELS. It's strange "Greenwich" headgear that I haven't seen yet. I can only guess what two wheels and a weird helmet-type thing will be for.

I would buy all four different types if I had the money, but here's the catch: They're only sold in boxes of thirty for over $100 dollars. So, until some godly person gets them overseas and starts selling them off, I can't get ahold of any.

I also want to buy her Nendoroid (Bri and I bought one for Kaela- the little L one that went like everywhere from the park to our house when the three of us beat Haunting Ground in LESS THAN TWO HOURS), but I refuse to get it until I have her Figma. The Nendo version's eyes also light up, which bumps up the price a bit. I can't really afford to throw away $40-$50 (depending on the shipping) on the Figma and then another $60 on the Nendo. I've had the Figma pre-ordered for like a month now and I'm just sort of flailing around here looking at all the pretty pictures people have taken of her and thinking of all the pictures I can take.

I also plan on getting the winter release of her "Gizmo". Her sled-ski-things and puffy scarf look awesome. That's probably going to be the big Christmas gift I ask for this year, as it's like $60 without shipping and already up for pre-order. I hope that they release something formal of the Greenwich headgear, because I really like the look of it; especially the tattoos. The Belinda gear still takes the cake as my favorite after her normal hair, though. I can't wait to pose her in all sorts of crazy capoeira poses when I get her Figma.

The only thing that I found odd about the Greenwich peice is that the helmet sort of covers her entire face. I really want to see an episode explaining just what that's about.

There's so much detail even on the Gashapons. Never could really get much into that Obruchev style though.

Damnit mid-October, you need to get here faster so I can get my gorgeous robot wife. ;_;

Someday if I ever get around to it, I'd like to illustrate a comic based off of Pygmalion. I'm not sure if I'd want to make it "modern day", so to say, because after watching the modern-day adaptation of Hamlet in english two years ago (Claudius and Gertrude owning a huge corprate office and Hamlet reciting "to be, or not to be" in Blockbuster, lol wut) I have feared putting a newer twist on old stories. I might end up raping it like that movie raped Hamlet.

Pygmalion a Greek story about a sculptor who becomes unintrested in women when he sees these ladies out being sluts without any shame at all, so he decides to carve his own woman out of ivory. He ends up making the scultpure so beautiful that he falls in love with it and prays to Venus to make her real. Venus takes pity on him, makes his statue, Galatea, into a woman, and then turns to the slut daughters and hardens their cheeks to flint, taking away their ability to blush.

Pygmalion and Galatea have a son. The end.

It's pretty weird, but I think I could pull it off if I actually tried. If I did it in modern times (which I'm still wary about) Galatea would have to be like, a mannequin or a robot or a doll. I dunno, I'll probably never get around to it unless I can get school credit for it.
