Words.

I think that, of the very few and far in-between things that I am naturally interested in, words might be my favorite, right after space. Ever since I was little I have always like dissecting them, watching them change as they were placed next to others, tasting them and sounding them out phonetically. When on paper, they can also evolve into more of a drawing than a simple arrangement of letters, a sort of art form all own their own. You can't read a painting like you can read a delicately written word, and the style in which you draw it can affect the viewer. Paintings and drawings is a way of expressing oneself, but sometimes a single word on paper will suffice.

Even certain singular letters can be awesome all by themselves. "M" is like a huge hug, and words that begin with M somehow seem to have a softer sound or a more elegant edge. Letters like "J" and "G" are great because they're constantly a mystery, fluctuating as more letters are placed at their sides. "W" is another strange and mysterious letter that always produces full words that either taste wonderful or terrible, without any in-betweens. "P" has almost a happy snap to it, and words like "Jupiter", which combines a J and a P, can either sound very poppy or very eerie, depending on how you read it. Jupiter also has that "I", the sort of B-list celebrity of the alphabet that can replace others if necessary.

I don't "study" this stuff really, I'm not a professional (like anyone would assume that from the way I talk about this shit? ha) it's just a sort of thing that I've become accustomed to doing with words over time. I just like to take them apart, re-arrange them, and study them, much like some people do with car engines.

English is such a terribly complex language. :[

Rex Steele: Nazi Smasher

Okay, I have got to see this. The title caught my eye, I guess it's someone's animation project, and I love the movements.

Almost Winter.

So this past week has been constant work, because I chose not to do anything in school for the past few weeks. Even for English, which I've turned in almost every assignment for, was put aside just becuase I didn't feel like doing anything. This past weekend I finally faced the consequences and did a lot of work on Monday, but I am still lagging behind in science.
Fuck it, though. Winter is almost here.
Winter is my favorite season because for some reason, everything seems brighter and much more blurred. Like, my vision is worse in the cold somehow, but everything looks highter contrast. I doubt it will be warm again this year.

Despite the cold and winds, Aviation Nation this year was fucking cool as hell. With all of the planes they displayed, I half expected them to have an F-35, but they didn't. :[

Anyway, Left 4 Dead 2 came out today, the experiment in my classroom was disposed of, and I got to run around looking for paintbrushes after listening to shitty music in Quinn's class. I love my damn school.

Also, Brina and Kaela. You guys wanted me to post a character/story summary and I promise I'll have that done soon. Apparently we have next week off.

Apologies.

I used to put a post here every day about something fairly interesting, and now it's become more of a chore than a daily habit. On November 2, I got my robot wife in the mail and was excited, but the time change has made a mess of my pictures. I have less than an hour after I get out of school to take pictures while the sun is up, and in the morning after I'm done getting ready, the sunlight is already directly in the backyard. I'm going to Red Rock to take pictures this upcoming monday though, so hopefully I'll have new things to post aside from the ancient pictures that will follow this.

So in short, sorry I haven't been updating this as much as I should with cool-ish stuff. School, time changes, and just generally being busy has gotten in the way.

Now, have some really old pictures from a vacation to California really early in the year. This was back when I still had my little pink Sony and looked for patterns more than scenery. I think I want photograph people more, since whenever I bring my camera to school, I get really good pictures. So, after snapping pictures of figures, I'll move on to more portraits. :]

Even though I like taking pictures with my dad's fancy camera, I do miss the little one. It was easier to use and could take good pictures in the dark. It was also very good at focusing on close objects.
