It's been a long time since i made an update here! I've been very busy, doubled with the ONE day I got the time to make a blog entry, Blogger was doing updates and everything was read-only. I have the day off today, so I better fill everyone in! The picture of James and I was taken at the carnival... My nose is all squished and my neck looks weird, but it's one of my favorite pictures of us~.
Well, the race is over and I'm thankful for that! Last year (I don't remember if I bitched about it here on Blogger or not) when we went out in the morning, it was freezing cold. Like 5 jackets cold. This year, though? It was actually fairly warm in the morning! It ended up getting hot as usual, but the morning was nice. Every time I visit downtown Vegas / Fremont Street I'm constantly reminded of why it's my favorite place in the world. Everything down there is just perfect and I wouldn't change a single thing. I wish I could live on the garbage sofa behind the Beauty Bar but I probably wouldn't like that in the long run, I just love it down there so much. Anyway, I took a buttload of pictures and I hope they came out well, I was using my dad's Nikon and Olympus because I didn't bring my Canon (lolmemorycards) s I was sorta unfamiliar with them. I felt like a lot of my shots came out too dark. :/

Then, there was the school carnival! Every year, EKA has a carnival thing in which each advisory will set up a booth and they sell punch cards to raise money for the school. I wore a Dreamy Dollhouse coord that I have no pictures of, and I had a big bun on the top of my head! It was extremely hot, but in the middle of the carnival, it started to
rain. Seriously? Vegas darling, I love you, but you are one moody city. The one day that everyone didn't want rain was the one day we got it. Luckily, it was just a short shower and it didn't last long. It actually cooled things down a little but I still spend most of my time under this big canopy thing that the Sandhill campus has, trying not to let my hair get wet. We went to Jack in the Box like we usually do and had tons of fun. A homeless man inside of Jack in the Box threw like four bags full of piss and shit into the trash can and it was super awkward. At least he was being sanitary? I don't really know an appropriate response to what he did.
And! WOOOOOOO~ Dark of the Moon toy release~!! So happy for that! I've been waiting and saving up for months so I can binge on DotM toys! Sometime later this week I'm going to go out and pick up Sentinel Prime, and on the very day of the release I went out to hunt for Megatron and Shockwave. Sadly, I still can't find Shockwave, my wonderful dream toy of the year. But I did find hoodie Megs! I absolutely love him, Both of his modes look great and as a truck he has surprisingly little kibble. The only thing that sort of annoys me about him is that I essentially have to choose between his fusion cannon and his little cloak-thing. It won't fit on his arm if I have the fusion cannon on there, but I just love him. Especially, the feet, for whatever reason that is. I can NOT wait to get Shockwave! <33

A few days ago was Evalette's first birthday (my cousin Izzalette's baby). My mom, Bri, James and I all went over to their house for the party, which was Hawaiian themed. I had no idea so I was wearing fairy-kei with my new AP replica star bag. I was very out of place and ended up being the impromptu photographer of the event. They had tons of delicious Filipino foods and a lot of people were there! It was very windy and sort of cold so I spent a lot of time inside. I got to see my Aunt Gigi for the first time in many many years, because she came all the way from Manila for the party! She told me that my sister and I might go to Manila next October to see her son's wedding. I would love to see Manila, it would be an absolute dream come true~.
Anyway, we had lots of fun and my Uncle Angel told us that he was going to bring a surprise for our Lola. He went to the mall and picked up Manuel, my cousin that nobody in the family has seen since I was about two years old! His dad, my Uncle Fernando, has been in the Philippines since I was really little, and a barely remember him. My Tita and cousin Mika were both crying when we met the cousin I never new. Lola cried too, and she actually said to him "you must not like us, because you never see us" and we were all like, Lola, don't say that!! She probably embarassed him, but it was a great surprise to see him again after like 16 years of not knowing him. I still have no idea how my Uncle Angel contacted him.

Look! It's my whole family~!! I'm gonna list them (in general) from left to right: Lorenzo, Tim, Tita, Izzy, James (my cousin James, not boyfriend James!), Uncle Michael, Hazel, Me, Bri, Manuel, Mika, Angel, Gigi, and Lola! There were so many people from my family there~. Where's Irene in this picture? Not there yet. :c
In other news, I've been hired by EKA to take the photos form the school prom, which is in a few weeks. I'm halfway excited and halfway disappointed. I really like getting paid to take pictures and shit, but I was also looking forward to just going to the prom with James. I've never been to a prom before and neither has he. I'm still not sure if I should wear lolita or not. It would be a little out of place, but I can't think of any other dresses I'd like to wear. Hmm.
