Well, half of the busiest week like ever is over. Next stop will be AV this weekend! Do I make a cute Lithuania? I'll post more pictures after I've actually styled my wig, I just wanted to wear everything. The lenses I have are really great, no "photoshop-my-eyes-a-different-color-because-my-contacts-are-to-dark" stuff anymore.Anyway, the meeting/anniversary went really well! We left the house at live five PM and we didn't get back until midnight (before the time change) but it was really fun. The Red Rock hotel is beautiful, and the room where the meeting was held was enormous! Bigger than the other venues LVAC has had, I think. We set up the red carpet, mosaic, and step and repeat, and everyone really liked them. The powerpoint and our videos went off without a hitch, and everyone laughed at the "where were you in 1991?" video! I don't know if I mentioned it, but we also put all of the salespeople and people in the office's heads onto the "Party Rock Anthem" video by LMFAO. Now that was a hit. Everyone was laughing at the big floating heads shuffling around the screen. The food was also fantastic! It was a great anniversary dinner <3 Earlier we had a super posh anniversary celebration breakfast... at McDonalds. Remember when I was ranting about not getting McDonalds last post? Yep. The best celebration of two years of happiness involves a burger and soda. =u=
Then last night was my mom's birthday! I woke up early and literally covered the house in fancy papers saying "happy FIFTY-FIRST birthday" in rainbow colors. Last year my mom was complaining about turning 50 and we promised we wouldn't let her forget she was 51 this year, so like buttheads we pulled that. She walked in and was like "...Seriously?" and cracked up with laughter. We didn't get her painting on time though... But we still all went to dinner with her sister. It was super tasty and I was Comrade Twinkletron. Have I mentioned on here that I have this ushanka with a Soviet badge on it that I ordered from Ukraine? I hardly get to wear it, but now that it's so cold I felt like it was appropriate. c:
Also, Mike and Mari visited our house for five days. =w= Originally, James and I thought they were just coming over to visit for a night, but we all stayed up way past sunrise playing video games and on the computer. Mari brought curry and I chipped my tooth on a lollipop. It isn't noticeable, but I feel it on my tooth. D:
We just hung out and talked about shit, I haven't seen either of them in a really long time so it was good to catch up! Bri and Mike watched this Mark Twain movie while Mari and I sort of half-watched, and then everything became Mark Twain. It's all Mark Twain. Forever. Then yesterday before we went to dinner, Bri, Mari and I had an afternoon of anime nostalgia, listening to like every theme song and ending theme that we could remember from our childhoods. xDIt was a really fun week, visiting with them, going to the meeting, celebrating our anniversary, and throwing mom a 51 party~ <3
I am so excited for AV! I know it's a smaller con and considered mediocre by most standards, but it's my home convention and there are a lot of good memories to be made there each year. I'll post pictures from everything after sunday! See you all at the Alexis Park~!! <3
