Almost Christmas omg omg!

Whoa! It's Christmas tomorrow! The Hetalia 2011 Bloodbath is going on right now! Everything is exploding with presents! It's super cold! OMG. STUFF IF HAPPENING.

Ha. Yeah. So, shopping for the holidays is now over :3 We were actually out buying last minute gifts today, just a few things added to the stuff we're giving out. I feel like this will be a successful holiday season for me. I bought things that I'm sure everyone will like! Though I may not have bought everyone 10 presents each, the couple gifts that I have for each person are things they really wanted or liked. My family bought a Keepon and I can't wait to open him and dance around with a little yellow robot~.

A few days ago was Bri and James' shared birthday. James turned 18, Bri turned 19. Everyone is so young, I feel super like elderly... I thought it was cool, though! I was going to buy Bri a game on Steam 'cause he present didn't mail on time, but Xoli beat me to it. Now I have to wait for her to tell me a new one she wants. I helped James pick out a necklace and earrings for her, and my mom gave her World of Warcraft-inspired earrings. I got James his lava lamp, Star Wars headphones, and a dungeon master's sheild. I don't know what else to call it, it shields us from seeing what he's doing while we're playing D&D. We ate Bri's cake and James got Reeses because he doesn't like cake, and it was a whole lot of fun. <33 Then, the next day we got to see the new Sherlock movie! It was really really good! <33

Then Riley and Hunter and Mari came over to make D&D characters. We got it done pretty much in one night, we have two leaders, two defenders, a striker, and a controller. Pretty balanced, I think! My character (the striker) is a shifter two-blade ranger. I feel like an ass because he's so strong, but... I really wanted to play a weeaboo-tastic Drift character. He's like drift, Izuna from GG2 Overture, and Inuyasha. All in one.

Speaking of Overture, I FINALLY BEAT THAT GAME. I've had Overture since we bought our 360, and I got stuck on the mission where you play as Ky (with Paradigm helping you) because I had no idea that I was supposed to dispel all of his brainwashed servants. But as soon as I figured it out I got past it. The fight with That Man was intense as hell, I felt like I was playing Touhou. And the final battle with Valentine... Jesus. I did it quite a few times because I couldn't find a single life potion. But, in all, it was really fun~.

So yeah, now that I've mentioned that. We finally got around to playing D&D, but it was just James, Bri, Mike, Riley, and I. Hunter and Mari were running late and James and I ended up needing to go back to his house much earlier than I expected, so we didn't get a lot of time to play. The encounter was built for six people, so we almost got majorly fucked over when it was only the four of us. =u= We did alright though, and we got McDonalds at the end of it~ :D

Going to McDonalds at ungoldy hours of the day has become a common occurrence now. Usually everyone will either stay up all night or only get a few hours of sleep so we can get there for breakfast. Today was like the first time I've even been there at night. It's colder walking there at night than it is in the morning, but there are less people!

Anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS! The clock struck midnight as I was writing this post! Yaaay! Presents and cookies and shit for everyone because these holidays are awesome~ <33 I hope everyone has a good holiday season <333

Oh yeah, delicious Christmas Shockwave again, continuing my tradition that I started last year. Yes. =w=

it's inspiring and sad ;^;

Well today we went Christmas shopping at the mall. There were lots of people there, and we met up with Xoli, Jessica, Hayden, and Riley. It was so much fun to see everyone again and walk around shopping for people~ I'm done with my mom, James bought something for Bri's birthday, we all went to Toys R Us and met up with Kaela and had fun there, and everything is good! All I have to do is buy online stuff and then I'm finished~~

Here's the thing that really got me, though, why I'm actually making this post. I've had a Dreamy Dollhouse coord hanging on my wall since we moved in and no opportunity to wear it out until just now. It's been a good while since I went in fully decked out lolita. I even got to wear my fuzzy bear hat from KawaiiGoods to keep my head warm! Anyway, that's beside the point. Aside from the usual things that happen when you wear lolita in public (the 'aww how cute' comments and the 'what the flying fuck' comments) there was one lady who really got to me.

I was buying a necklace from JCPenney for my mom after our group of friends sorta broke up to do shopping. The checkout line was taking forever and I have no idea why, but this lady from the other side of the counter called me over and said I could pay at the front of the customer service desk. When I went over to her, she said "I wanted to check you out because you look cute! Kinda like a wedding cake." That's the first time I've heard wedding cake, I've had bo-peep and snow white and stuff before, but not wedding cake. I thought it was nice. She asked me if I "always dressed fun like this" and I told her that I did, that it was sorta a Japanese fashion thing that I'd always liked. She smiled and just said, "Well, never stop doing what you're doing. It's beautiful. I'm fifty-five years old and I have dressed and been this way my whole life. Just never let people get you down, you look really cute."

I don't know why, but it just made me so happy and inspired and also really sad. She rung up my necklace and wished me a merry christmas and James and I left the store, but I don't think I'll ever forget what she said. I think all lolitas need to hear something like that, it makes you feel like you're glowing almost. Aside from the weird stuff we get called, aside from the people who laugh at you, even aside from the people who gush over your outfit, it just really sinks into you when you get a comment as genuine and heartfelt as that one. I want to buy that lady an Innocent World handbag or something, I don't even know. I hope she's happy and has a good holiday season. <3

Present shopping~~~

Christmas shopping this year will be easier than it was last year, I think. This year, I've had time to think about what I'm getting everyone and I'm not panicking last-second to try and come up with gifts. Especially since Bri has made is painfully obvious as to what she wants, and James and my mom are both easy people to buy for. My mom will just outright tell you that she likes something and totally wants it, then forget about it by the next week, and James has very direct interests. Plus, I thought I originally had something I really wanted to buy him, and I was like "I don't mind if you guess~" and then he pretty much guessed everything that he actually wanted! I accidentally indirectly found out what I was going to buy him, and he still doesn't know it! >3

Bri and James' shared birthday is coming up, too. I'm still not sure exactly what they want to do for it or where it will take place, but I'm totally going to make delicious cakes for them. My birthday will be coming up shortly after theirs, and all I really want is to see all my friends. ._. I've been so hikkikomori-ish and not contact-ey for a long time... I just want everyone to come over and have a good time and laugh and play video games like how we used to. I don't want anyone to bring me presents because I don't want it to really feel like a birthday, just all of hanging out and having fun. That would be the best way to spend it. <3

So, yesterday I went with James to the Cheyanne campus to see a counselor. I know all of my classes this semester were just pointless filler classes, but I didn't know that I hadn't declared a major until yesterday. =u=;; Fucking derp. The counselor was like, how? How did this even happen? So as of yesterday I'm biological science major. I mostly sat around all day on my computer trying to write (to no avail, because I suck at fanfiction right now) and at the end of the day James and I hung out with Delaney and talked about Transformers and stuff. I had really tasty nachos, too. :D

I guess that's all that's really happened, I'm sure I"m forgetting something but whatever! n_n

WHOOOOA

UUAAAHHHHHH >A<;;;;;; Blogger I have neglected you again ;o; So much happened during and after Anime Vegas that I completely forgot about making a post here... Man I need to remember this stuff more. Augh. ANYWAY. It's been like a really long time but I'll try to recap!

Omg you guys. Anime Vegas. This year was so beautiful <3 I thought that since it was at the Alexis Park again, it would be crowded and weird and all that, but it actually wasn't. It was way more spread out this year, which was a little weird, but overall better for the convention layout. There wasn't much crowding except for the usual lack of couches, but we had spots in the hallways that we always sat it, so it was all okay. :3

It was so good to see everyone again~ Though not all of my friends could make it, it was a lot of fun meeting with everyone, and seeing other cosplayers! Kaela got to hang out with us for two days (check out her fucking amazing Majora's Mask bead thing in there!), and I also saw Sadey for the first time in a long while~ We also met some very nice Hetalia cosplayers, mostly on the first and second days. One the first day I got really super hungry and we went to the food stand at the back of the hallway by the main events, and there was like this giant group of Hetalia cosplayers just there magically. I found it hilarious hanging out and eating while they talked and laughed behind us. I felt bad, because I totally forgot about posting on the AV forums and informing the Hetalia group that we were going to be cosplaying, so no-one really knew who we were or anything. xD;; But, it was all alright, because they were super sweet and soon we were laughing with them. We didn't stay with them all day, though. Just ate, then went off to find everyone else.

On the second day I was like ME HUNGRY again because apparently I can't stop eating at this convention, and James bought me "the suggestive hot dog". We sat down to eat and he took a very long video of me eating the hot dog and trying not to laugh my ass off while doing so because I guess the world needs more videos of Lithuania eating a hot dogs. No matter how hard I tried to make it not look suggestive, it was a goddamn hot dog and you sorta... can't. =u= So right near the end of this video, an Italy cosplayer walked past us and was like, super surprised to see me and told me there was a Latvia somewhere around. I was like aaaah MUST FIND THEM. And the other Hetalia cosplayers helped re-united us. C: It was so awesome, they were all really sweet. Then while we were taking pictures, one of them told me that I had a red mark on my face. I sorta looked at James and was like omg. A few days before the con we were walking and flailng our arms at eachother and he hit me in the face. I didn't even think that it left a mark but we were both just sitting there like. This is WAAAY too fitting for this cosplay. xD

The, later that night, we left all of our stuff in Mike's hotel room after wandering around and popping into the masquerade, and we all went to the rave. On the way to the front of the hotel we hit like this WAVE of people in a line, and I saw Sadey inside and asked her what was going on. It was the freaking line for the rave that we ran into. It went out the door and literally around the corner. Fuck, it was long. But we chilled outside with Brina and Kaela and everyone and played rock-em sock-em girlfriends. Finally, the line moved and we all somehow managed to get into the rave room. We only danced for like two songs, though, because it started getting reaaaaaally hot, and Kaela had to go and we waited for Quinn outside for her. When we walked back in, holy christ it smelled like death. The BO of like a hundred people all trapped in one tiny dark hot room was just way too much to handle. I found an America when we walked back in and he gave me this look like he'd seen a ghost. Idk what that was. =w= So we left teh rave, since it was sorta gross with all the smelliness. We waited outside with Xoli and Jessica and Nando and saw a beautiful vintage Rolls-Royce, and I took a shitload of pictures of it without knowing that there were people inside. Oops.

On the last day we mostly just hung around with everyone. We caught some episodes of Gundam Unicorn and K-On and bought stuff from the dealers hall. Somebody bought the little Russia I wanted, but I got my hands on the Lynette I wanted~~ We saw the taiko drums and ate M&Ms, and watched the most hilarious AMVs ever. The Ouran and Evangelion ones were amazing, maybe I'll post them here tomorrow.

Anyway, it was amazing. Each year is so fun with everyone, I love seeing you guys there! It's just always so great. AV might not have amazing special super awesome bands (Yoko was there though, she was so cute and a great performer as usual!) and the world doesn't revolve around it, but I love being there with all my friends. You guys make the con worthwhile. Oh, also the panel about the world's most hated anime characters, where everyone exploded when Sasuke came up. That made it worth it, too. =u=

So that was AV. After that things were still busy, I had essays to make up and work to do, and before long, bam! Thanksgiving! My mom had some weird cough and none of my relatives wanted to get sick, so no-one even came over. Yep. It was just James and I, Bri, and her new boyfriend Mike, and my mom. Bri and my mom cooked and the house got really hot, so we opened the door and I played Heavy Mach Defense on my phone until it got cooler inside. We ran to the store to get rolls, which of course, were the one thing we forgot for dinner. It was super yummy~~ Now the LVAC Christmas Party is coming up and we have to get ready for that. c:

So, well, it's December now. I turn twenty in a few days, holy shit I'll be so old. ;o; I gotta start christmas and birthday shopping! It's gotten really cold so I bought a few sweaters when we went to the Meadows Mall for the first time in forever. I'm also grabbing a new Petticoat, since my old white ones have deflated a bit. I wonder if the humidity has been killing them? Dunno. We've made a new spot for LVAC and I saw it while watching Vegas TV the other day, I think it looks nice. Oh! And I made a little spot on the interwebs where I can post my freaky dreams- it's right here! I don't like clogging my blog up with them too much. I'm also working hard on Bri's fic, and the new one that I started. I'll stop ranting now, it's been a long while but I'll be updating regularly again now! C:
