boopity doo

i figure i'll pop in here, since there's only a week before nanowrimo starts and my life is horribly busy. i have an accelerated 6 week online course underway all throughout november, and a lot of japanese to study. i also have work, we're still trying to get the big computer running but the laptop works. there have been some cool spots- a lawyer place, a gun range that looks really nice, and today we shot for freddie's nutrition at bret's pool. it was really neat, i felt bad that i couldn't help out very much. but i think the commercial will come out really cool looking. our house got sprayed in a bug scare because some people in out building moved out, and their apartment was infested with german roaches. luckily, there are very few to none in our own house. i'm going to see hamlet this weekend, and next weekend is the lvac fall sales meeting, the weekend after that is anime vegas.

but uh. yep. things have basically been steadily increasing in terms of how busy i am for a while, and i know november will be absolutely awful, aside from my 3-year anniversary with james, and my mom's birthday where we all prank her. it'll just be really hellishly busy and rushed, i know i won't have time for the internet.

i wanted to introduce the fantastic cast of circus of nero over the course of october, but i didn't. it's the story i'm writing in november, after putting it off for nearly ten years. april 2 of 2013 will be cappy's 10th birthday, so yeeeeep. i am pretty far behind on writing the actual story. but hey, i have the characters and plot down to a t. if i can crap out 50,000 more words this year, i'll be extremely satisfied.

i don't know how to summarize circus of nero. 88% of it is based on yuki's live performances of 66db. i wrote this huge long post, then deleted it, because it's literally been a thing for me since i was twelve or so, so i can't really describe everything that's happened, or the plot, or really anything. the best thing i've come up with is a vague paragraph of plot points and my favorite things about it. it encompasses circus (the first part) along with II (black carousel) and III (white carnival) which are the three separate parts of the circus of nero as a whole, over the three generations of supa sugoi characters. i'm not even going to get into the names of the actual characters. the most you need to know is that the protagonist is named capital mercury vorobyova, who is a russian-american nomadic pilot thief who gets struck by lightning within the first 15 minutes of the story, and half of her soul is the deuteragonist, salwa ajah al wajid, and she's a demigod from saudi arabia who really enjoys pancakes and sausage on a stick.

if this isn't a nanowrimo plot, i don't know what is.

polygots, vetiligo, jet noise, two-headed white elephants and the robot antichrist, broken theremins, maple syrup engines, underwater canadian trains, crossdressing russian mail-order bride-grooms, eternal life via rainbow squares, god killers, traitor priests, muslim angels, four-handed lolis and one-winged piano duets, back alley brain surgeons, talking t-34s, soul mate death machines, twins from svalbard, the siberian robot maker, the dreadnought, the alien guy next door, alternate realities within chernobyl, ancient alchemic baby rituals, little girls with motion blindness, red strings of fate and red scarves of fate and red eyes and red blood and red children.

words of advice from this story: don't fly jets while pregnant. don't make sentient b-2 bombers angry at you. don't assume that your winged girlfriend will kill you if you have a lovers spat. don't fly during thunderstorms. don't travel between universes to alternate realities of ukraine. don't get on trains with dying pole dancers.

and don't let your daughter leave the circus of nero.
