So I'm finally getting my phone replaced. After months of not being able to call people without a minute long delay, random turning off and on, the backlight of the screen refusing to shut off and running my battery down so that it only lasts a few hours off the charger now, and the random reversions back to the "store" settings of the phone, I'm replacing this peice of crap. It looked so useful, cute, and compact when it got it, but now I'm getting a refurbished Samsung Solstice for extremely cheap. Anyhting is better than this phone, and plus, the Solstice looks nice! I like how it's a full touch screen except for like three buttons, and when I looked at it in the store, the first thing I noticed was that little shortcut bar on the left. It looks so useful! I hope I can change the facebook and myspace and yahoo icons into stuff that I actually use, but even if I can't, it will never be as bad as the LG Neon I have. Never buying an LG phone again, even if it has my initials right on the front. ._.

I'll also post the short baton / quiz I did today on here, just 'cause. c:

1. Best Lolita fashion advice you've ever received? A very simple thing called "a mother who is an artist". Maybe it's not that simple. My mom has ALWAYS taught me about color and the way certain colors do and don't go together (lol looking at a color wheel when I was a little baby). If it weren't for her I would not know how to color-coordinate at all!

2. Style Icons? I dunno, I know my Animal Crossing character has been a sweet lolita LONG before I ever decided to get back into lolita, so it sorta inspires me when I take my daily escape to Starfall to be her. :D Also, totally not real people, but my icons for fairykei are Jem and Posey, and real people who are lolita icons are your typical Amo, Unu, Misako, and so on.

3. Describe your personal style. Sweet lolita sometimes leaning into OTT sweet with a heavy fairy-kei and '80s influence. Not afraid to wear legwarmers with my brand and brand with my MLP tees. I never stray from a carnival and circus theme becuase I love the underlying image and I have an obsession with all things carousel-horse. (Which is why maybe the only thing I've seriously written is three parts long and each is respectively titled "Circus", "Carousel", and "Carnival".)

4. Favorite designers/brands? Angelic Pretty. Always. Also, LEIF, for Aster Cafe. I want it in blue. c:

5. Most cherished items? The one I always cheris and try to work into every outfit is the cupcake pony necklace I got at ALA a few years ago with my sister and Sadey. It's my reminder of my friends and how much fun I had.

6. Most used item? Light pink shoes I got super cheap from Bodyline! Ha! I use them when I wear all sorts of stuff and not just lolita, they're probably the most versatile shoes I own.

7. I feel best wearing? Anything with horses and ponies on it. Sugary Carnival, my Bodyline carousel skirt, and hopefully, someday I'll get my hands of Meta's Twinkle Journey skirt in dark blue. The pegasi on it are just absoutely beautiful.

8. The first thing I look for in another Lolita's outfit... Is the general shape and shilouette. A-line skirt? Marshmallow shape? High-waisted? I just like examining how other people pair acessories and other items of clothes like boleros and cardigans with their outfit. Then straight after that I look and see if all of the colors co-ordinate well.

9. Lolita Fashion rule you never break? Petticoat (fucking always), always wearing a blouse under a JSK, always examining my shoe choice and color so I don't look like a 'tard with shoes (like a lot of people do when they wear Starry Night Theater, I never plan on buying that print) and always have my makeup done. If I don't have time for makeup, can't access a petti, or don't have a blouse, I'm not gonna wear lolita that day.

10. Never caught wearing? Everything I mentioned above about the blouse-less JSK, also open-toed shoes with socks / stockings, super goth stuff (it looks so sad ;^;) and, as much as I love my winter hats, I'd never wear them with a serious coord.

11. Dress to impress who? This is a hard question. I'm not really doing it to "impress", but I know it does impress everyone aside from my family and close friends. I dress the way I love to dress and I'm happy if people notice it, becuase I put a lot of effort into looking beautiful when I wear lolita, as outlandish as it may seem. It's an attention grabbing fashion- I'd much rather spend hours getting into my lolita and get noticed for it than spend 30 seconds picking random stuff out of my drawers and feel like I look like crap personally.

12. Your next "must have" purchase? After my Christmas stuff, I'm probably going to save up to buy Milky Planet in sax or lavender. :3 The must-have of the season, I'd say.

13. Favorite type of head accessory? Katyusha. Looks good generally all the time. I love stiff bonnets too, though.

14. Favorite cut of clothing (shirring, high waist, princess seams etc)? I hate high waisted everything, it makes you look preggo no matter how stick thin you are. I've seen tons of beautiful lolitas in ghih waist JSKs and it just looks overall bad. I'm all for low-waisted marshmallow poof.

15. Current obsession? Tweek from South Park. Not loli at all buy hey. :D

16. Best Lolita fashion advice you can give to anyone: Never go out without a petti, do your makeup and hair, don't buy anything that you don't like personally just because it "looks loli", that's the quickest way to become unhappy in the fashion!
