lots of stuff!

Man, I have a lot of catching up to do on here! I've been sort of busy with sketches and paintings, a dash of tumblr and a whole lot of editing to the beginning of my Victor/Yes Man fic. So, I'm gonna start off this post with Sims 3 rage.

So James has bought the original game and all of the expansions for Sims 3 so far, right? We haven't been playing since like, last summer but suddenly a few days ago we really wanted to play on our old families. Find disk, start up that Sims launcher thing, yadda yadda, and it asks if I want to update. I figure that since it hasn't been updated since like forever ago, no harm in letting it do it, right? So wrong. It seems like it's updating fine, but at the very end it gives me an error that says "invalid file found" and tells me that, somehow, my base game is incompatible with the current game. I don't even know what that means. I contacted EA about it after following the instructions on their page about it like 4 times, but what they said really didn't help. I'll be super pissed if we can't play a game that James spent actual money on rather than just downloading it off of the internet.

As if the Sims wasn't messed up enough, I recently got a notification from TaoBaoNow telling me that my order made in mid-December still isn't complete, since one of the sellers I ordered a skirt from sent in the wrong size. It's gonna take me 4 months to get my order. :c

Oh a lighter note, I got paid extra for doing the LVAC photo archives. It pretty much consisted of me, 500 pictures of the grand openings of some of the clubs in the 80s, and my good buddy scanner spending the day together. :3 It's actually pretty relaxing, just scanning and saving pictures all day. I have to do it again soon. The extra money I earned will go toward- (wait for it....) BUMBUMBUMBUM G1 SHOCKWAVE! Yes, my toy holy grail will be mine at last. I'm so excited! The Sims and Taobao can't bring this awesome down~! :D

This past weekend was fun as well. Some of us went to see Battle: LA (the best part of the movie was when one of the military men threw a grenade back down into the sewer they had just climbed out of, and the alien below them caught and it was staring at him like, "you dropped something!" as it exploded) and we ate at this pizza place. My mom and sister finally saw Rango (I got to see it again, whee~) and yep. Still great. I really do like that movie.

James' cousins from California came to see us this weekend and his family was watching this giant German Shepherd named Viking. I got a new summer dress and had plenty of food and James bought pretty much an entire new wardrobe. I'm happy he finally has new clothes to wear, I can't find the Dr. Who shirt I bought him and I always steal his brown Star Wars shirt for myself. He said I could wear the new Star Wars shirt he bought because I was freaking out that it had Boba on it and I still don't have a Boba shirt. I was also SUPER HAPPY to get Kaela's call over the weekend. The mail finally worked~ I don't know what to do about her other gift. I don't know if there is anything I can do about it. Shipped here, sent there, never showed, no explanation. I've heard of this happening before (luckily my indecent wasn't with $300+ lolita garments) and I really don't think there's a solution. The item I bought her is on sale now though... >D

Then, today, I came home to Barricade waiting for me in a box, and a surprise gift form my grandmother- a HUGE Bumblebee. I really have no idea where to put him because my desk has been engulfed... But I love it anyway. c:

I don't think there's much else going on, aside from me FREAKING OUT and dying because of "Champ", which I have now pretty much decided to completely rewrite. That shit belongs on my other blog, though.

a quiz thing.

I don't do a lot of quizzes and stuff on here, but this one seemed really interesting, and I'm SUPER bored. Yesterday I met the Senator, I'll describe that tomorrow though. :3 Quiz time.

1 Describe the happiest moment of your life.
The first question and It's a hard one? Hm. I'd say a recent one (I can't think of THE exact happiest moment, but there are a few really good ones) would be BELTING the lyrics to Donna Lewis' "I Love You Always Forever" with James at Taco Bell, while trying to eat a beefy crunch burrito. It was hilarious and lovely. Another would probably be right after the midnight premier of Revenge of the Fallen. We were driving with the windows down and I was eating a McDonalds burger with my face out of the car at one AM, surrounded by people who had just come out of the movie and everyone was gushing about it. That was happiness. Strange, that both of my answers had to do with fast food. :o

2 List 10 likes and 10 dislikes.
UGH. Okay. Likes: taking pictures of cars, Milky Planet, Hummers, swimming, Shockwave, latex gloves, working with my dad, Ed-e, Boba Fett, and my fabulous hands. Dislikes: Scalpers, After Effects (you fucking confusing son of a bitch), forgetting my camera at a big event, cat piss, Skyfire, the exchange rate, how the Okami RP is dead, California, forgetting a dream, breaking a Transformer, and my un-photogenic-ness. At least my hands photograph really well.

3 Describe a song that inspires you.
This is gonna sound lame. "Come and Follow Me". The end credits song from Short Circuit. I FUCKING LOVE THAT SONG. It's so uplifting! ;o; also, John Farnham's "You're The Voice". Totally. Fucking. Amazing. Come on world, let's all cooperate with eachother! ;___;

4 Describe your personal style.
I wouldn't really call it an extremely personal style. A lot of OTT sweet lolitas also do fairy-kei. I wouldn't say that I can't mix and match and have no personal creativity, I just follow the general sweet loli trends and such. Uh. I'm a lolita. Yep. I sacrifice things things like using public bathrooms (can't fit into those tiny stalls with my petti!) and running when I wear lolita, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I'd take form over functionality any day of the week, because I like the way I look in lolita. I'd like to think that it suits me. c:

5 List 5 things you couldn't live without.
James. Transformers. A daily shower. Motion. My music.

6 Describe what you want to do with your life.
I would like to keep making commercials and editing for a time, but I want to be a dentist, and I want to live in the Cosmopolitan's like condo places. Oh, and I want to finish my Blurr/Bee fic. That there's a life goal.

7 Describe two of your hobbies in detail.
Well, I like Transformers. It's sort of a full-time hobby. I don't think I actually have another actual hobby aside from it. I like to draw and paint and stuff, but it's not like Transformers, which pretty much takes up all of my time and money. I'm trying to get better at taking pictures of my TFs, because that's one of my favorite things to do to pass the time! Watching/reading Transformers and buying and photographing Transformers toys are my two hobbies. c:

8 List 5 things you want and 5 things you need.
Want: G1 Shockwave (I'm actually buying him though WOOOWOWOOOWOOWO), my own video camera, more shoes, Milky Planet (I keep chickening out and not buying it because it's expensive hurhurr), and the new Drossel. Need: Another job, to stop breaking promises, a phone with an alarm that works, a canvas, and a cleaner room.

9 Describe a guilty pleasure.

No explanation necessary.

10. Describe your greatest accomplishment.
I don't think this is my life's permanent best ever accomplishment, but I do get a big smile on my face when I go into the LVAC main areas and I see all of the spots I worked on airing on LVACTV. Sometimes I'm like "OH MAN IT CUTS OUT TOO SOON" but it still makes me happy to see everyone watching them and to know that the clients were satisfied.

gonna write out some dreams!

I've been having trippy dreams, sadly, I forgot to write yesterday's down and forgot it completely. These are the others, though. (I'm also working super hard on the first chapter of 'A New Hope' so I can post it on my other blog. Still not as good as Champ.)

Last night: I had a dream in which my senior class was "re-doing" the graduation ceremony at the Cashman Center where Anime Vegas is usually held. Some people were missing so there were only like five of us on this big wooden stage, and my mom came over after the ceremony was done and asked me what I wanted as a graduation gift. For some reason, I told her that I wanted a dalmation puppy. So we had there two dogs mailed to us. One was a dachshund, and it died in the mailing box. The other was a horse sized dalmatian with extremely shaggy fur, and it flopped down on the kitchen floor and fell asleep because it had gotten sick from the other dog in the box, dead. I vaguely remember something about going to another anime convention and staying in the executive suite of a high-rise hotel across the street from an office high-rise that sold medical marijuana, and going there to buy a Larfleeze comic that they sold exclusively. But the main part of the dream involved James and I being friends with Dexter and Rita (Dexter Morgan dexter, serial killer Dexter) and the four of us having this spot at Red Rock where we got together and had good-natured picnics together as friends. One day we heard that Red Alert and Inferno (out of fucking NOWHERE) were having some sort of lovers spat and Red Alert had kicked Inferno out of the Autobot base, so we told him he could stay at our picnic spot, since the police hardly ever went there. Wat. So, Inferno is sitting there on a bench and we all leave just as a police car pulls up next to him. They roll down the window next to this giant robot and the cop says, "Huh, a barrel cactus!" and they drive away. I don't really remember much else but I do remember yelling at Red Alert with Dexter.

Then! This one was FOREVER ago, but I never posted it here! So I had this dream where I lived in a small town and was friends with these four brothers, the youngest of which had cancer and looked like Rorschach as a little kid, so I called him Walter. They had two friends and we all met down by the edge of this lake to mess around in these broken cars. The little Walter kid had to run off and throw up every few minutes because of his cancer (wat), and this pregnant asian lady and her husband came to see what we were up to and he threw up all over them. They were like ew and then the lady went into labor. I went with them to the hospital and they just went into a room with no help and the lady was like "I had a baby. c:" but then I went in there and there was a four year old girl in a really long pink dress sitting with her. I was like, "are you the baby?" and she was like "yes I am." and we both started laughing at this fact, and then while we were laughing I noticed that she had the same double tooth problem as I do, and I was like, "You and I should go shopping in the lake sometime." and just then a car drove through the side of the hospital and out the other end. The mom of this kid followed the car and stopped it with her bare hands and said "it's a letter from an old stalker lady who didn't want me to have a baby. She put the adresses of all of the transvestites in the world in here." and holds up a newspaper. Then I went back down to the edge of the lake and the little Walter kid was there. Turns out that he somehow had the Autobot Maxtix and had just given it back to Opitmus Prime because he was dying. Optimus said he wanted to use it "as glasses" so he gave it to Breakaway, who tried to fix it and just ended up making his eyes go in two different directions. And then Optimus had to screw these little screw things on the sides back in and I looked into the center and said, "Look, it's Vilnius, Lithuania in there." and then Optimus somehow shoved the entire matrix into his face.

The important part here is that my dream involved Breakaway. 8D

another blog. wtf.

Yeah. Today I made another blog that you can find here, but it's invite only. I want that kind of stuff to only be visible to close friends or someone who asks to be added to the reading list (since everyone who reads this blog already has my AIM and Steam names or my tumblr) because it isn't going to be a fangirly Transformers blog / "what I did today" blog like this one is. I'm probably going to use it to post stories, fanfiction, rants, works in progress, and pictures I drew. So uh. If you want to read my gay robot stories and see my lame doodles, just message me wherever and have me add you to reading list of that one.

Also! Yesterday I got my fish~ He's FABULOUS. As fabulous as Rarity. His full name (thanks to a whole shitload of suggestions, but mostly me and my sister's friend on speakerphone looking at youtube homepages) is Marty Moby Bowel Movement Ghettoblaster Dragster BackhoeWolfcock Motherfucker Bumblefumble Maverick Trashcan Countach Zanzabar Dingus Lord Twinkle-Meyer the Forty Fifth and a Half Prime, a.k.a. Princess Starscream. I call him Jango for short.

There is nothing else to be said. :3

car commercial days~

Photobucket

Well, here I am bored again. I was SO EXCITED the other day, and for a really stupid reason. We went to PetSmart and, lo and behold, I got to look at the bettas. I dunno if I've told Blogger about this before, but from like 6th to 8th grade I had a betta(s) named Charlie (and later, Sammy). My friends from down the street used to visit their dad's house in the summer from their mom's, in Utah. We were pretty much inseparable when they were here. Well, one summer they bought a betta and called it Charlie, and nobody thought of what to do with it when they were leaving in the fall. Long story short, I ended up with this fish in my room for a really long time. Or what I thought was a really long time. He was really pretty if not just your generic betta- iridescent blue and green. One day when I was cleaning his tank (keep in mind that by this point I was in like 7th grade, I'd had this fish for two years and we were getting ready to move) I mentioned to my mom that he was really old for a fish that my friends bought at Wal-Mart a long time ago.

I think one of the very very few times I've been genuinely disappointed in my mom was when she told me that it wasn't the same fish. Apparently Charlie had died the summer before while we were on vacation in Solvang, and she bought another fish that looked exactly like him at the same Wal-Mart and put it in the tank to "replace" him so I wouldn't be sad about it. Fucking damnit. I was so mad. Now I just use it to make fun of her when she suggests buying something new to replace something old and broken, but at that time I was pissed. We ended up naming the fish Sammy. Why, I do not know. He lived until I was almost in 9th grade, wherein he started swimming upside down for the last two days of his life. (We always seem to end up with the "afterthought" fish, Kohaku as well. He was there for that phone-in-fishtank fiasco, but that is a different story for another day.)

So there's the story of my two bettas. I really liked having them, even though everyone says fish are boring as pets. I like seeing them swimming around and going up to see the food. I guess I'm probably stupid and easily amused because I really like watching fish. But anyway. We go to PetSmart and I see the bettas, and I decided to buy one. I get paid tomorrow, so I am hella going to get a pretty white one and a tank and shit. YEAH. FISHIES AGAIN~

But, I have to wait until tomorrow, for money. This weekend has been alright, I was sort of bummed when James' dad told us, totally out of the blue, that James was taking his SAT on Saturday. We had been planning to go to my house this weekend to see Battle: LA and go to Red Rock, but that all died. Instead we hung out here, watched Jackass 3D, got Panda and Taco Bell, and played Rock Band. I'm getting pretty good at the guitar on easy, even though I have zero hand-eye coordination on that game. It's weird. I can barely get into the 90% range on Rock Band on easy, but I play Audiosurf on ninja mono ironmode and can ace any song. :<

Hopefully, during this week we'll go to Red Rock- TF photos like WHOAA, and I want to get a betta again. No idea where I'll put the tank, since my desk has become my Transformers shelf and the bathroom counter has my boom box on it. It'll probably end up on my makeshift nightstand. On a different note, over the next month I'll likely have to decide between buying Candy Treat and going to BotCon. I won't be able to afford a $300+ dress AND $300+ admission. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO. MY TWINKLE AND MY TRON IS TORN IN HALF. :(

Also! Kaela. Brina told me about that $10 thing, and that SUCKS. D: It's good that you have nice managers though, I can only imagine what it would be like if you still worked at that Teriyaki place with the insane manager. And we are now officially sailor shirt twins. I need to post a picture of the tank top I just bought from the kids section in Target. Next time you come out here we'll be sailor twins. =w=

I just noticed how many times I say "also", "as well as", and "anyway". :I

I've got good news though.

DR. LIFE IS FINISHED. FOREVER. DONE!

We've been working on the Dr. Life videos since October of last year. I wasn't there for the filming, but it took three days. I edited a good two thirds of the videos and the total comes to 403. 403 videos of intense workout moves and shit. All I can say is, as neat as the site or whatever will be with 400 videos, I am so glad it's done and over with. I want to make commercials more.

Anyway. Today Bri and I tried an experiment with hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and Mountain Dew. It was supposed to glow! But, being fucking retards, we didn't check the bottle we had and accidentally bout DIET Mountain Dew. Yeah, that was a total failure. Tomorrow, though. I also keep meaning to edit our Barricade+Doughnut video because I FOUND THE ORIGINAL WHEE~

I uh, should also really get around to scanning that picture of TFA Shockwave I drew during the Superbowl. I know I know. Procrastination. But I want to watercolor it now. Oh yeah, James and I went and saw Rango. MR TIMMS HELL YEAH.

Tomorrow, I want to go down to the Strip. I don't want to go to a show like, at all, but I want to experiment with my new Canon. I feel like a HUGE douchebag walking around with the winder and big flash and the Tokina 80-200 mm lens because it engulfs me. The camera literally looks like it's going to take my face. I raise it to look through and my head disappears. Also, I have a flash to use with my Yashica Pentamatic now~ :D

huuuuugh post

I thought I would share my current wallpaper on here, just 'cause this time it isn't dump crap and it's actually a really gorgeous picture. I got it from last month's Transfriday threads. So beautiful augh. ;__;

I haven't made a post in a while, so let me try to recap things as I go along.

First, I got my Canon A-1 and lenses in the mail today in a GIANT PULL-UPS BOX. It was great. Everything needs a good cleaning to get rid of dust but I am supper happy with how cheap I got the body, winder, flashes, light meter, filters, and four lenses for. Can't beat eBay bargains. :D

I dyed my hair black, as well. Only semi-permanent, though, because I wasn't sure if I would like it. I really do! I'm so tired of having two-toned hair, the black feels nice for a change. I think I'll do it permanently.

Now... Last weekend, my mom started to get REALLY sick from Alex and Austin. They've pretty much gotten over it, but she thinks she has an infection or bronchitis or something. Trying to avoid catching it, James and I went to Town Square and ate at California Pizza Kitchen, and just hung out and had fun. I got astronaut ice cream and we walked around Fry's for like an hour. I can't believe War For Cybertron is still like $40 used. Last Thursday we went to Applebee's and had to get a rice cooker since the old one broke.

Then on Monday, we went to the Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay~ *0* It was so awesome. I haven't been there since I was like 12. The jellyfish were all so beautiful and they had these GIANT fish that I remember catching in the Amazon Trail game me and Bri used to play. The sharks were all swimming around really fast because someone was feeding them from above where we were standing. These was also a pimpin' Komodo Dragon, and just generally some awesome stuff there that I haven't seen before!

Today at work I scanned pictures while my dad built another Taos spot. Then, we went to see a show called Recycled Percussion, who landed a show at the Tropicana because they were finalists on America's Got Talent. It was really great, you get to bang on stuff like pots and pans all throughout the show! On the way in, a staff guy gave me a blue happy face sticker and told me to keep it. Turns out that everyone who got a sticker had to go on stage. So there was like a row of us, and they handed us each a mask (mine was a white at, loool) and had us try to imitate a drum solo. I totally couldn't, so I just hit the drum. Once. Then they had us flip out drumsticks in the air, and I TOTALLY failed at that too. c: It was great though! I kept my sticker. We were seated up front right next to the bass and on the way out I saw the Jeep Rubicon two-door in dark red that I love so much. It was a good day. :3

I can't really think of anythign else important that I missed, but I feel like I'm leaving something out. Oh well~ I'll post pictures of these various events as the film gets developed and as I feel like getting my memory card out of my camera. I'm growing a Canon zoo.
