car commercial days~

Well, here I am bored again. I was SO EXCITED the other day, and for a really stupid reason. We went to PetSmart and, lo and behold, I got to look at the bettas. I dunno if I've told Blogger about this before, but from like 6th to 8th grade I had a betta(s) named Charlie (and later, Sammy). My friends from down the street used to visit their dad's house in the summer from their mom's, in Utah. We were pretty much inseparable when they were here. Well, one summer they bought a betta and called it Charlie, and nobody thought of what to do with it when they were leaving in the fall. Long story short, I ended up with this fish in my room for a really long time. Or what I thought was a really long time. He was really pretty if not just your generic betta- iridescent blue and green. One day when I was cleaning his tank (keep in mind that by this point I was in like 7th grade, I'd had this fish for two years and we were getting ready to move) I mentioned to my mom that he was really old for a fish that my friends bought at Wal-Mart a long time ago.

I think one of the very very few times I've been genuinely disappointed in my mom was when she told me that it wasn't the same fish. Apparently Charlie had died the summer before while we were on vacation in Solvang, and she bought another fish that looked exactly like him at the same Wal-Mart and put it in the tank to "replace" him so I wouldn't be sad about it. Fucking damnit. I was so mad. Now I just use it to make fun of her when she suggests buying something new to replace something old and broken, but at that time I was pissed. We ended up naming the fish Sammy. Why, I do not know. He lived until I was almost in 9th grade, wherein he started swimming upside down for the last two days of his life. (We always seem to end up with the "afterthought" fish, Kohaku as well. He was there for that phone-in-fishtank fiasco, but that is a different story for another day.)

So there's the story of my two bettas. I really liked having them, even though everyone says fish are boring as pets. I like seeing them swimming around and going up to see the food. I guess I'm probably stupid and easily amused because I really like watching fish. But anyway. We go to PetSmart and I see the bettas, and I decided to buy one. I get paid tomorrow, so I am hella going to get a pretty white one and a tank and shit. YEAH. FISHIES AGAIN~

But, I have to wait until tomorrow, for money. This weekend has been alright, I was sort of bummed when James' dad told us, totally out of the blue, that James was taking his SAT on Saturday. We had been planning to go to my house this weekend to see Battle: LA and go to Red Rock, but that all died. Instead we hung out here, watched Jackass 3D, got Panda and Taco Bell, and played Rock Band. I'm getting pretty good at the guitar on easy, even though I have zero hand-eye coordination on that game. It's weird. I can barely get into the 90% range on Rock Band on easy, but I play Audiosurf on ninja mono ironmode and can ace any song. :<

Hopefully, during this week we'll go to Red Rock- TF photos like WHOAA, and I want to get a betta again. No idea where I'll put the tank, since my desk has become my Transformers shelf and the bathroom counter has my boom box on it. It'll probably end up on my makeshift nightstand. On a different note, over the next month I'll likely have to decide between buying Candy Treat and going to BotCon. I won't be able to afford a $300+ dress AND $300+ admission. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO. MY TWINKLE AND MY TRON IS TORN IN HALF. :(

Also! Kaela. Brina told me about that $10 thing, and that SUCKS. D: It's good that you have nice managers though, I can only imagine what it would be like if you still worked at that Teriyaki place with the insane manager. And we are now officially sailor shirt twins. I need to post a picture of the tank top I just bought from the kids section in Target. Next time you come out here we'll be sailor twins. =w=

I just noticed how many times I say "also", "as well as", and "anyway". :I
